Matthew Johannes the owner operator started Highway 61 Hardscapes in 2026. Before that he got started hardscaping in 2020 by going to Kirkwood community college in Cedar rapids, Ia for landscape design and construction. During and after college he worked for a hardscape contractor before moving back home to work for a landscape contractor. A few winters he spent in southern Alabama working for a commercial hardscape contractor. He brings a lot of knowledge and pride to the hardscape field.
